WheelHorse79 271 #1 Posted July 7, 2014 On July 4th, my wife and I drove from Richmond VA to Freeburg, PA to pick up a "restored" RJ-58. I have attached a few pictures below. This is the wife's tractor and she picked it out. I am going to add a tool box and rear fenders to the tractor. It's also missing the belt guard. I sent an email to Joe, and he is out of stock right now. Hope he gets some more in stock soon. I don't want the wife to ride it until I get the belt guard on. I think the wife is turning into WH nut too!

squonk 43,736 #4 Posted July 7, 2014 Very nice. The newer roundhood foot rests look cool on that. not sure if the belt guard will work with the Briggs engine.

WheelHorse79 271 #6 Posted July 7, 2014 Thanks everyone. I spent some time over the weekend looking at the drive belt setup on this RJ verses the "normal" ones. Apparently, when the Briggs was transplated in, a lower pulley was added to the frame, and the clutch idler was rigged to work backwards. I will try to use the production RJ-58 belt guard, but will probably have to cut off the botton flange and leave the bottom pulley exposed. I knew that when I bought a tractor that was already "restored", that I will run into some strange jury rigging. This is probably the first of several. This is why I'm not too concerned about keeping this tractor all original like have with my 854, 1045 and C-101.
