Buckshot 1 15 #1 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) My topic should have been, relay and no starter issue. Am I correct in assuming that PN: 116397 is the starter relay. IN my wiring diaphragm for a Toro/Wheelhorse 15-44XL it is called a safety relay? As I turn the ignition switch to start I can hear/feel the relay clicking but no power to the starter. All the safety switches have been by-passed and have 12 volts. There is power on battery side and the igniter wire on the solenoid, also good ground on the seloniod. By jumping the two big lugs on the soleniod still will no power to the starter. Any ides/suggeations will be greatly app Thank you for your time. WH nut 553 #2 Posted July 7, 2014 If you have power on the control side of the solenoid and power isn't going through you need to replace
rmaynard 16,208 #3 Posted July 7, 2014 If you have 12 volts on the battery side of the solenoid, and you put a heavy jumper from there to the starter lug of the solenoid and you have no start, try connecting the jumper from the 12 volt side of solenoid to the lug on the starter itself. If you have start, then the wire from the solenoid to the starter is bad. If you jump from the 12 volt side of solenoid directly to the starter and it still doesn't start, you have a bad starter.
