meadowfield 2,712 #6 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) more than likely a poor connection: is the R/R unit bolted to a ground ground point? is the connector clean and not melted (they are a weak point)? is the ammeter in circuit? is it faulty? ideally you need a DVM to test and measure, rather than type it all here - look up one of chucks (SOI) master classes on regulator and charging.
