Sparky-(Admin) 19,698 #1 Posted September 28, 2008 Heres a few pics of my newly repaired D-160. I have an C-105 in the pics to show the differance in size from a D to a C. The C-105 has the standard 23x8.50x12 rear tires and 16x6.50x8 fronts. The D has 26x12x12 rears and 18x8.50x8 on the front. Mike..........

BadDad 1 #9 Posted September 28, 2008 I have a chance to buy a d-160 runs fine there are no attachments for it, & the hydraulic pump is bad. They want $800. for the tractor. Is this a good deal?
Sparky-(Admin) 19,698 #10 Posted September 28, 2008 I dont think its such a great deal. Check out what a used pump is gonna cost before you go after it. Mike..............
Sparky-(Admin) 19,698 #11 Posted September 28, 2008 Sigh... . Well dont expect any action shots of the D real soon. As usual I got 20 minutes seat time before it quit. I bought this tractor as a non-runner a couple years ago and after a few hours of tinkering I got it all set up and started to drive it. I only got about 15 minutes seat time before the tranny seal let go. Big leak! Got the tranny back and installed, the charging system going and yep....another 20 minutes seat time and now it wont turn over . Now when the ignition key is turned on, the headlights would work, but now they slowly come on and sometimes their brighter and sometimes dimmer. I think its a bum ground somewhere but I'm to aggravated to get into it now and my present mood is to do a "Joes Outdoor Power" to it . Oh well. I'll start messin with it next week when my attitude is better . Mike.........

evanloock 217 #17 Posted October 25, 2008 The D's are great looking tractors!!!! The biggest of the square hoods! I don't like the 250 that much as it is technically not a real Wheel Horse, but a 1974 D-200 with all the trimmings is a great tractor in my opinion!!!! evanloock 217 #19 Posted October 25, 2008 They were made by a West German company, imported to the U.S. and rebadged with Wheel Horse decals. I've never been a fan of the 250.
BairleaFarm 340 #20 Posted October 25, 2008 The D250s looks ok compaired to the Ugle grills on the other d series. ah in a Freightliner going to run down your Toyota Prius kind of way!!! I wonder if a homemade brush guard of some sorts would make the front end look any better? Id still love to have one.
