snowblower model number question

I picked up a single stage blower yesterday. when I ran the model number through toto parts it didn't come up

the model number is 86-42st05

I have an 86-42st01 which comes up as a 1978 model

the newer one (86-42st05) does not have any toro markings on there so it must be older than 1988????

I am kinda baffled and need some help

does anyone have some info for me?

Are you sure it's not 06-42ST05?

That would put it in the '88/'89 range, depending on the S/N.

I will head out to the barn to check out the model number again.

I was going by the model and seriel number in the original owners manual that the fellow gave me with the blower.
