Dana Bennett 2 #1 Posted June 28, 2014 Hi everyone!! I know it has been a while since I joined and posted a thing or two (thankfully just got a one year anniversary notice so that really made it easier to find my way back here!!) but really have to many irons in my fire and find to tough to get much of anything accomplished!! I did just upload a few very poor images of my tractor and tried to link one of them here in this post but don't know if it will work?? Anyway, on to my current dilemma!! I have a C-195, it has the hydro lift for the deck as well as the three point hitch. Since Brother Al had to remove a bunch of stuff to replace the drive belt that failed (it was WAY ready to go!!) while I was pulling the lawn sweeper (didn't get the grass cut early enough this year so we had way to much cut grass laying on top, have to sweep it up because it made it too tough on the tractor) he figured this would be a good time to replace the leaking hydrolic lines!! Well, it was a good THOUGHT anyway!! Figured it was best to start with one line a time. The worst one went from the controls to the bottom of the three point hitch cylinder. Really not having any luck finding or hving a replacement made. The one place I went to in Buffalo said it would be about $68.00 (for ME that is very expensive!!) and that he would have to use adapters to make it work. My brother checked a bunch of places around here today and also no luck. Right now we will just bypass (thread the line that went to the top of the cylinder back into the opening in the controls for the lower hose) the three point hitch and hope the other lines will last for a while. I would like to replace all of them but at that price for one and to not be sure how well it will fit is just out of my range. Does anyone have any suggestions?? and while it is apart Brother Al is repainting a few of the panels, will end up looking a little nicer I think!!! by the way, this is a working tractor and not a toy or for show, it needs a lot of work but I really need it!!! Thanks for reading!!! Dana Bennett. Lane Ranger 11,395 #2 Posted June 28, 2014 My local NAPA has made up hydraulic lines for me. Not for C-195 but other Wheel Horse models . Reasonable and quick.
squonk 43,799 #3 Posted June 28, 2014 A lot of the Horses use a #4 or #5 o-ring fitting that most places don't have. I had a GT 14 that needed a swivel end. They had to get a o-ring to 1/4" flare adapter. Then put a 90 deg 1/4" swivel flare end on the hose. Not factory but it works.
