Zeek 2,286 #1 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) I just picked up a 1276 at the show. In doing a little examination tonight, I noted that the seat pan does not fit correctly around the belt cover (seems a little too wide) and the hole for the hydro fan seems too small to do any kind of legitimate cooling, which is a bad thing long term. Other that the pitting, I'm sure I can make it work. Does anyone have a photo (and some measurements) of what the original looks like? I could be wrong but I don't think this is it . . . Cecil wouldn't have approved this. Edited June 24, 2014 by Zeek
sorekiwi 761 #2 Posted June 24, 2014 Thats a later guard adapted to your tractor, There was a thread a few years ago about measurements for a 1276 guard, a search should find it. Here are some pics of mine: This one isnt mine, but the photo shows the fan arrangement
Zeek 2,286 #3 Posted June 24, 2014 Well THAT makes more sense. I was thinking what's the point of a freaking fan when you cover the pump with sheet metal. I kinda hoped I'd get some good responses like yours, thanks. I'd appreciate anymore pics of what works if you wanna share and we'll get fixed up properly. squonk 43,785 #5 Posted June 24, 2014 Zeek, check that filter brand. If it's a Wix or Napa a 1307 isn't correct. Should be a 1410

Yes Martin the 1276 is different in this area than the 1277, I think the 1277 system is simpler with less moving parts, I dont have a good picture of the 1276 setup. Martin 2,133 #9 Posted June 25, 2014 the 1276 looks like its almost the same as the 1965 (875, 1075) wheel a matic belt clutch.
