HELP!

My 1990 312-8 refused to start the other day.  I'm not much of a mechanic and I knew this was way beyond me.  I called my neighbor who is a mechanic and he said the ignition switch needs to be replaced and the pigtail behind it as well as it is partially melted.  I can get the ignition switch but the pigtail is discontinued.  Does anyone know where I can find one or a work around for this?  I really need my tractor.....The toro part number is 102651 for the pigtail.

Thanks

The pigtail and switch are available from Prime-Line mower parts. Check with your local Uni-Select auto parts store. I know Uni-Select

has a warehouse in Marietta Ohio. Here's a link to the PrimeLine catalog. http://www.primelinepe.com/

Thanks a million guys.  I'll get one asap.  My horse gets unruly if it doesn't get ridden enough :)

I seen some pigtails that have had some parts of it melted but if the connector is still hooked on the back of the switch and has contact it still works. I tell ya every time this darn 312-8 I got does that its the PTO switch not fully making contact. It is now taped up tight to keep in gauged till I replace the worn sloppy PTO lever bushings to keep it snug against the switch.

But back to the ign switch, you can always do away with the melted pigtail and crimp new ends on each wire and stick them back on the prongs of ign switch.
