wheel bearing replacement,,,,flanged or not

I might as well replace the front wheel bearings on the 854.

I thought about using the flanged bearing that is open on the inside. would you fellas use the flanged bearing? Or does the flange add to much width?

Or would you just use bearings that seat flush with the rim?

I thought the flanged bearing being more heavy duty would be better.

The 854 uses the standard flanged bearing 1-3/8" OD x 3/4" ID, Toro number 110513
