Nathanielperz 150 #1 Posted June 14, 2014 Hey guys I am looking for a loader that I can customize to fit my 1276... I do not want to spend crazy amounts of money for one no more that like $600-800... I would need one that has its own hydraulic pump and its own hydraulic fluid reservoir because the 1276 doesn't have any hydraulic lift or anything... Please tell me if you have one to sell OR where I could get one ASWELL as if the price im looking for it too low... Thanks in advance, Nate
the_nite_owl 15 #2 Posted June 18, 2014 Good luck. All tractors and parts are pricey in the Northeast. Mid sized garden tractors with FEL come up on craigslist periodically but I have not seen any less than $2,500. I have not seen any FEL sold by itself. I have been scanning the Boston, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and New York areas and have only seen three come up in the last 8 months or so. I got my D-160 with the loader for $2,100. but have had to put a lot of work into it. Have not yet been able to put it to work but maybe by the end of the week. One option if you can do it is to look for a larger tractor like a Ford 8N or 9N that has a loader. I see them going for as little as $1,200. from time to time. I could not go that route as I had no way of hauling it home or back and forth to where I need to use it. But it seems to be the cheapest way to go to get a FEL for use even if not exactly how you wanted to use it. They are too big for our smaller to medium sized tractors to try and move them over also. Another option is to build your own. It gets pricey but generally not as bad as what used ones cost in this area. Otherwise expand your search area and be willing to travel when you find a good deal. Good luck. Been there. Trent
the_nite_owl 15 #3 Posted June 18, 2014 Oh yes, search on tractor scoop. There are a number of less expensive products that are not full FEL but give you pickup/haul/dump capabilities. The rear mounted 3 point hitch models are better for digging but would probably require hydralics. Take a look though, there are options.
