stratostar250 934 #1 Posted June 10, 2014 So the D-250 is in need of some rear tires. Neither look too pretty, and one has a quite constant leak and the sidewall is falling apart, so I feel it is time for a new set of rear tires. It seems as if my options are kind of slim. I don't want to get anything too ridiculous, but I want something decent. From what I've seen, these are my choices: 1)Carlisle Multi Trac C/S 2)Carlisle Tru-Power (or some other AG based tire) deestone? firestone? 3)Carlisle Field Trax I love my all trails on my 310-8, but sadly they are not made in this size, and the field trax are similar, but scare me because they are only 2 ply. But also it seems as if there aren't that many options on tires for this size either. Perhaps I am not looking hard enough, but this seems to be about my options. If anyone would like to chime in and give me ideas on other tires, or experiences or recommendations, that would be highly appreciated! Anyone have any luck with deestone ag's? I thought I read somewhere about them being a rough ride, or something, but I cannot find the page where I saw that, and I think I'd want something that rides smooth for the large tractor. Sparky-(Admin) 23,147 #2 Posted June 10, 2014 I have a pair of Deestone 23x8.50 ag's and they are a rough riding stiff tire. Even aired down they are a hard tire which in my opinion impedes the traction, soft tires grip better always. Probably only 8 years old. I'm not thrilled with them and wouldn't buy em again. I think they are 4 ply. Mike...........

JackC 617 #4 Posted June 11, 2014 How will the D250 be used? Why not turf tires?
stratostar250 934 #5 Posted June 11, 2014 The D250 won't be doing anything too major. I was thinking about that, but there is no turf saver in 26x12-12. The multi Trac is similar to a turf master though. I was kinda leaning in that direction, but I'm still considering things, and I got offered a set of ag's so we shall see what happens. Thanks though! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
slammer302 2,156 #6 Posted June 11, 2014 Have you looked at ATV tires there's lots of options there
stratostar250 934 #7 Posted June 11, 2014 Yeah, I have checked a little bit, I feel like most of the atv tires are too aggressive for my tastes, though. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
alswagg 128 #8 Posted June 12, 2014 I have a variety of tires. The Carlisle tru power 6 ply on the back hoe D 180. Carlisle tru power 4 ply filled with 15 gallon each RV antifreeze on the standard D 180. The back hoe has 25 psi of air and the standard with the liquid has 7 psi of air. I also have a set of Deeston's filled with antifreeze, these are also for the back hoe when I put the duals on in the future. I will be running turf tires 4 ply this winter with liquid and chains for plowing snow. Al
