besman 0 #1 Posted June 10, 2014 Two questions, the teeth on my starter bellcrank/gear have been chewed up and will no longer turn the flywheel. This starter is just a plain silverish pot metal housing. I'm thinking that this is NOT the original starter (I would assume it would be red, like the engine); can someone verify this for me? Second, where can I find another bellcrank/gear for this starter. besman 0 #3 Posted June 11, 2014 ok. I think my grandpa may have one in his barn. He thought that one would also fit some Tecumseh's too. Not sure. We don't really have any older Kohler guys around here anymore so didn't really know where to look.
