when i had my first onan with a bad valve seat we mic it ot and the valve seat that onan sells were not big enough for the hole that had worn into the block and was told that was the case most of the time. so my local napa machine shop ordered an valve seat and machined it to fit my block worked good

I had one that was too big too and I took it to a local fab shop and they welded a couple beads around it. Took it back to the machine shop and they cut the block for the new seat.
