cheesegrader 433 #1 Posted June 10, 2014 I'm replacing an old, cracked drive belt. It seems to have too much play, and slaps against the guard. The tensioning spring was full of lawn debris, but even with the new OEM belt and a cleaned assembly, it doesn't seem tight. Do these springs go bad? I can't find it on the Toro assembly drawings, and can't find a part number. Any ideas? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

cheesegrader 433 #3 Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) Ah hah! There it is. Seems like the drive belt tensioner would go in the drive belt schematic, but what do I know? P.S. Red-Bovine 334 #4 Posted June 10, 2014 Now I remember you!! Glad the blade is useful for you. Once we got all our yard work done and got the drive paved, it just sat up in our hangar. I just ordered that spring from RCPW. I also ordered the tension spring in the mower deck. After 22 years, I suspect these springs loose some resilience.
