Work4crown 0 #1 Posted June 9, 2014 I was wondering what the differences were between the 1982 and 1983 Workhorse GT-1142 tractors. I mostly did this because my tractor has no labels; otherwise I would have just looked at the serial label. I used the Toro website to compare the part numbers and find differences between the years. Results: There aren't a lot of differences between 83 & 83. Some hardware was updated, washers added, screws changed. The "big" changes I found were: 1. Pulley on engine for rear drive changed and re-oriented. 2. Deck size label swapped out with maintenance label. 3. Metal hood latch swapped with rubber hood straps. This is probably the easiest way (other than the labels) to spot the difference between models. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Martin 2,133 #3 Posted June 9, 2014 another major difference is the colors..... 1982 was painted pewter metallic, this was the same color as 1971 Lincoln-Mercury Pewter Metallic 1983 and 1984 were painted non metallic light pewter, this was the same color as 1982 Lincoln Light Pewter (non metallic) 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
