exercise the horses and a mini heart attack.

Well I let the horses out of the barn for some much needed exercise. Lawn was out of control due to not being able to mow last weekend because of the valve job on my 520h. I tested out my 310-8 and it performed beautifully after a new deck belt. The 520h did amazing as well with both cylinders actually working. Started tinkering with the new automatic 10. Got that running and to my surprise I put it in forward and almost flipped the tractor. Very scary take off. The front tires were 2 foot off the ground. Is this normal????

Yea I noticed it's much better to start moving at low idle then use the throttle for speed. When I first got it running it wouldn't move at all. I almost thought the rear end was toast. Then I noticed the "free wheel" screw was loose.

I have the same problem with my C160. I haven't looked into fixing it as i have too much else on my plate. i plan on getting to it one day as i would like to use the tractor. there was a thread on it, but i never got any further with it. i can use it, just get that initial 'takeoff' out of the way and it operates normal until you shut off the tractor and then you start all over again. i must say the first time it happened i nearly put the thing through the side of my garage.....
