Rj 58 mess

I guess i am going to find out just how much of a Wheel Horse fan i am. I went out the other day to sift through the parts i have so far for the rj. First thing i noticed was someone hacked up the hood- steering support. So off to tractor supply to fetch a piece of flatstock to fix it right. I cut off the pieces to weld on the new ones and already have a question for you fine horse-a-holics. on the rj58 are the upright pieces the attach to the hood support 90 degrees off the frame? and who is the round hood parts guy? i think i am going to need to put him on speed dial.

At the moment, I would try to get a hold of SmokinJoe (member on this site)...send him a PM.  I see you are in the US...so is he...Illinois.  :)  If you are in central U.S...this could be easy for you.

BTW...welcome to Red Square.  :)

Thank you for all the info......I am not sure if any part of this thing is good! but i refuse to let it go for scrap so it will eventually be put back together. I will post some pics at some point. The hood has been repaired by po and i am missing the gear shift so far. no front tires and a couple extra pieces welded to the frame. it wont be a perfect show horse but will look good in my yard!! Thanks again

Thanks for the pictures......Now i am thinking not only did someone hack up the frame but it may not be an rj frame at all. where my steering shaft goes in at the bottom it is bent under the frame......It is getting dark but i will try and get a Picture.
