Repairs to Lawn Sweeper

Recommended Posts

jsp_333

I'm sure this is a common occurrence with the lawn sweepers - the stitching holding the sides [a tarp like material] to the bottom have worn out.

Pictures to illustrate.

Has anyone out there attempted to restitch theirs back together.

Have already tried tape and glue to no avail.

Any help, suggestions, even identifying the black thingy that appears to hold the sides and bottom together would be appreciated

Cheers,

John

Local marina, or RV repair shop...   :handgestures-thumbsup:

will make short work of repairing your leaf bin.

Tankman

If sewing by hand, use braided fishing line. Works great!   :)

Craig has it right, a decent upholstery shop, marina or RV repair shop should be able to fix you up. Those things are sewn together with a pretty substantial industrial grade sewing machine. Or, you can do as Tankman suggests, and invest in some leather needles and try your hand at sewing it together yourself. There are all manner of different needles and tools to do such work by hand. A web search should come up with a bunch of different vendors.

Also, you may look at tarp and awning shops.
