edman1000 0 #1 Posted May 31, 2014 Hi all, New to the forum, new to Wheelhorses. Just picked up an 875 (i think) and had a few questions on it and getting it set up to mow. I looked online for info and found some spotty stuff but not anything definitive. I'm think it's a 1965 because it has the hydro axle in it and from the spreadsheet i found 875's were only made in '65 & '70. All the 1970's were 4 speeds. This one however has a tecumseh motor instead of the kohler so who knows.... Anyway, my main concern is getting the deck hooked up so I can use this beast. I have some pictures of it here and since you guys are the experts, hopefully you can give me some insight. it appears to be missing something in the rear of the deck (if this is even the correct deck) that holds it under the belly to raise and lower it. If you need more pics to ID it, please let me know... Well onto the pics....

evanloock 236 #4 Posted May 31, 2014 The mower is a RM-425. There is a manual on this site in the manuals section.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,472 #8 Posted June 3, 2014 There are quite a few service bulletins on the RM-425. Go into the Manuals and do a search using RM-425 When they come up change the Submission Date to Title and then Ascending order. Some are duplicates because I kept the original WH version and the Toro copy. Garry
ol550 830 #9 Posted June 3, 2014 The rod is 3/8, I see very little reason for it to be adjustable, but it needs to be solid and not a chain to keep it out of the belt.
edman1000 0 #10 Posted June 4, 2014 I imagine I could use a piece of flat stock with to heavy bolts through it until I find something better. MY only concern is keeping the deck from moving side to side. Anyway, thanks for the info. I can tell this site is going to be a big help fixing this thing up. I plan on tearing into it in the new few days to get a better look see at what I got.
