Save Old Iron

we are going to need A LOT MORE INFO to give an accurate answer.

model # is a necessity (or at  least a decent picture)

are any accessories included ?

any known mechanical or electrical issues ?

Save Old Iron

FYI

a new seat, battery and tires can swing the price up $200 to $300 dollars

the opposite condition can give you a $100 bargaining chip off the asking price.

Its definitely a 1973 with a 36" rear discharge deck. I don't think its any more collectable that other 8hp models from the 70's.

Cant help with a restored value.

I purchased a '73 but with a 12 hp Kohler.

The price range seems bearable provided it runs well. Check the oil in the engine and rear.

Appears the Stallion we're lookin' at was well cared for.

Definitely a collectible classic. I paid $300 for the 12 hp in 'bout the same condition. Nice Horsey!

Operator manual

Parts list

They also had a vertical crankshaft model in 1973 and it is completely different.

This may be the mower deck
