I did a search for replacement instructions with no success. How do I replace the valve and the rubber gromet?

Thanks

As I recall, you grommet into the tank and push the valve into it. The expansion of the valve nipple makes the seal. I have kind of worked them into the tank together, half in/out vs grommet first and valve second.

You need to pull the rubber grommet and valve out. I usually pull the valve out then the grommet. It's best to replace the grommet with a new one anytime you remove the valve. Putting the valve and grommet back in is not the easiest thing to do. I myself put the grommet in then push the valve in. You may need to lube up the valve with just a tad bit of grease just to make it go in easier. Don't use a bunch because grease eat's rubber. The last few I did I used plain ol water just got it wet enough to help get it in there.

Thanks, the gromet and the valve will be here Monday.  Sounds easy enough, I'm glad I don't have to remove the tank.

Thanks, guys.

Changed the valve and gromet with no problems. I was really surprised at how corroded the old shut off valve was. Glad I had the leak.

Thanks for the help.
