Snopro 0 #1 Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) I have a 520h and have the opportunity to get a 48" inch deck off of a 267h and am wondering if it will fit? It is in great condition. Will I just need to swap my brackets for attaching it to the tractor? It's looks to be pretty much the same deck but there is no attachment brackets on it. WH nut 553 #2 Posted May 29, 2014 Im thinking no, But I don't remember for sure what the 267 decks look like. Im thinking there are extra brackets. If you don't mind a few mods you may be able to make it work.
Snopro 0 #3 Posted May 29, 2014 There are no brackets on it at the moment. I'm just sure if the brackets on my old deck will work on it or not. Just wanna find out as much as I can before I commit to buying it.
leeave96 490 #4 Posted May 29, 2014 I'm inclined to say no, however if you have the correct deck hardware, the shell and spindles might work. Take a close look-see.
Snopro 0 #5 Posted May 29, 2014 I will definatly look it over good. Thanks. I will post up results in the next couple days if it will work or not.

Snopro 0 #7 Posted May 31, 2014 Ok I havnt had a chance to check the deck out yet but the guy tells me it had the tach o matic brackets on it. Does that mean that I can bolt my brackets to it and it should work? One would think it would work unless toro changed the design of the tach o matic correct? tbarnhart 240 #8 Posted May 31, 2014 I don't know for certain if everything will swap over, but I do know that Wheelhorse used the same deck shell and spindles for different tractor/hookup configurations. My C-160 had a D-series deck when I first got it. Someone had previously changed the lift linkage to the c-series parts and everything worked fine. Then pictures of the decks for the vertical shaft tractors appear to be the same deck shell. There may be a few holes that need to be drilled etc. to make the c-series brackets bolt on, but I would bet it could be done. A couple of good pictures of both decks would give a lot of clues. Snopro 0 #9 Posted May 31, 2014 The deck with the red belt guards is the style I have but it's in bad shape. The deck with the black belt guards is the one I was thinking about buying.
doc724 925 #10 Posted May 31, 2014 It looks to me like all that crap on the top of the "new" deck is too tall to fit under a 520. My advice is to keep looking for a correct compatible model deck
tbarnhart 240 #11 Posted June 1, 2014 I would have to agree with doc. Not saying that it couldn't be done. but there would be a fair amount of change over or modification to make those decks interchange. Hope your search turns up a good useable deck. Snopro 0 #12 Posted June 1, 2014 Just wanna thank all of you for suggestions. Sucks cuz I can get that deck for less than 100 bucks. It's hard to find a decent deck with out spending a fortune.
