Is there any way to find my Belgian build Commando 7 on Toro parts viewer?

 

The model number is 1 1731 which I haver tried entering in a number of ways, i've also tried advanced search with no luck

The model number at the time would have been 1-1731 with a dash but Toro does not recognize that number. Do a search using the model name Commando V7 and do it here in the manuals also. 

Where was this unit made - Belgium or USA?

Any serial number on it?

Model numbers ending in 31 were usually 1968 models but not necessarily.

It is a Belgian built Commando 7 which is more like a 706 rather than a commando v7. I thought it was a 69 so you may well be right with 68.

Have not come across a model number like that but then Belgium is not represented very well in what we have.

Perhaps your's is between these two

Ive just had another go, and I can find the commando 6 and 8 but not the 7.

 

From what I can understand the Commando 7 is a rather illusive model with no record as such, now ive found the others I can just use those as most of the tractor is the same.

I think you'll find that the 'Commando 7' model in Europe was based on the 1-3741 (Workhorse 700) an earlier US model that was no longer current in the US by that time.

 

Try looking up 1-3741 and see if the diags look to be ok.

1-3742 is another commando 7. But for the engine, commando 8 parts diagrams should suffice.
