psychocontractorguy 12 #1 Posted May 26, 2014 I'm redoing a 1969 Raider 12 I bought recently, and I want to put some tri-ribs on the front of this thing. I've found some 4.00x8 tires cheap, and the rims measure 3.75" inside the beads. Will these tires work on my rims?
Martin 2,130 #2 Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) yes they sound like the narrow rims, they should work fine. heres how the Deestone D401 4.00-8 tires look mounted if you are interested...... Edited May 26, 2014 by Martin

Twohorses 2 #6 Posted June 22, 2014 Martin- I plan to use these tri-ribs on a tractor that will not be a mower, rather just for snow removal via a blade or a thrower. Is this the best solution? Bob
Martin 2,130 #7 Posted June 22, 2014 I've got a few sets of them on my tractors, none are workers, but i can't see why the tri ribs wouldn't work well in the snow. i know I've heard others happy with them in the snow. ive also heard that the Vredestein v61 tires are great in the snow as well. i got a set of these for my 416-8 I'm building right now. the guys over at weekendfreedommachines.com (JD forum) swear by them......
