Dozer/Snow Plow Problem

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had an issue with the mounting rods on the trip springs widening the holes in the 'sector and channel' and the blade assembly?

I have come up with zero on the topic.

I bought it used, and I think it my have become worse during the 50 inches of snow last winter.

Let me think. The top mounting rod for the blade goes through two rolled angle irons.

Pin for the blade is removable to adjust the angle which changes the way the plow pushes. So far, so good.

You could purchase 1/2" ID flanged bushings from Lowes, inexpensive. The bushings might be 5/8" OD, the angles would have to be drilled for the bushings.

Might be better with a picture. Got one? At top of the link below, click on drawing for dimensions.

The bushing would be installed with the flanges out, touching the cast upper spring holders.
