GlenPettit 1,717 #1 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) http://trecker-freunde-fans.de.tl/Der-Ersatzteiltr.ae.ger.htm# Be sure to open some of the sections on the left, there are a 100 more photos of these Wheel Horses in Parades, Carnivals, Pulls, etc., but it's all in German (but then Wheel Horses are an international language). Glen Question: Is there such a thing as a ' Viking ' tractor? This is not the WH made in Oosterveld Belgium in 1970, this ' Viking ' sure looks like an 1980's Wheel Horse 211, . . . I have seen photos of a small tractor that was made in Belgrade, CZ in 2010 that has the name " Wheel Horse " on it, but it has a unique look, more like that of a Honda Harmony with a grass catcher on the back. SousaKerry 503 #2 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) Google Translate says Now there's a Viking 211-5 which my father bought hat.Wir have the other Viking 211-5 Bought so we (just in case) spare parts as have, if at the Restored Viking eg times the engine or transmission is broken. Here are a few comparison's images. Here is a link to the history of viking mowers that is part of Stihl http://www.viking-garden.com/our-history.aspx Edited May 22, 2014 by SousaKerry
boovuc 1,090 #3 Posted May 24, 2014 Boy Glen, if that isn't a 200 series Wheel Horse from the late 80's, then I don't know what is! Seeing the "IC" on the motor even equates to the Briggs verticals they used.
boovuc 1,090 #4 Posted May 24, 2014 Also, if you go to the Viking Home Page from the earlier post that Sousakerry put up under "Products" their new riding lawn mowers look just like a new Husqvarna only green!

CasualObserver 3,411 #6 Posted June 2, 2014 For those who may wonder about these green tractors... I have the official answer from a retired long time (30+ years) WH/Toro corporate service manager that I have contact with. His reply..... Jason, Just happened to be online when you email came. Wheel Horse built this tractor in the South Bend plant, as they were made in late 80's. Other than color, identical to a "red" 211-5 built for the International market. I believe they were made for what we would call a home center - may have been marketed in France, not Germany, but I could be mistaken. Only one run made, I am sure; probably only a couple hundred units, if that. Sometimes it pays to know the right people!
CasualObserver 3,411 #7 Posted June 2, 2014 Moving this to the main forum since "technically" they are Wheel Horse tractors!

GlenPettit 1,717 #10 Posted June 6, 2014 (edited) Here's the new catalog on all Viking products: They have mainly push, a few small riders, tiller/chipper, etc., but no GT's The catalog can be found here (in English): http://www.vikingmow...e-gb/index.html And some more information, (but in German): http://www.viking-garten.de/aktuelles.aspx And a Viking self-mowing unit (in English): http://www.vikingmowers.co.uk/ Also - This is a lot like how the Czech Rep made Wheel Horse looks as a green Viking lawn mower, but is also made in Red with the Wheel Horse decals, probably same factory . . . . There is a small new Wheel Horse still being manufactured over in the Czech Rep only for the EUR market, saw photos of a pair of them at the TORO headquarters in MN -- looks like a Honda Harmony with a built in and covered rear bagger, red and with the Wheel Horse name on it. Looks a lot like this R4 in this YouTube video: More Viking Commercials: And a Russian Viking one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Yznqi805WY#t=33 Interesting how different countries advertise. CasualObserver 3,411 #12 Posted June 7, 2014 Glen's referring to this one. The photo below is of the only one in the U.S. As of the summer of 2012 when I took this picture at Toro Corp HQ in Minnesota this was the only tractor being made under the Wheel Horse name, and it was only made at a Toro factory in the Czech Republic. I was told by the Toro rep the integrated grass catcher system was a manufacturing requirement of the region. All mowers made there are like that.
