Please Help with B-60

Projekt B-60

Hello, I am new to this forum. I like to make "old" things look "new" so I picked up an old but "solid" B-60 ('76 or '77) and am in the process of a complete tear-down and rebuild. I do have a few questions:

-Is the B-60 a good tractor? I can't find ANY information on this unit. Everything from the frame, to the front axle and transmission case are very solid.

-Did this machine always come with a pull-start Kohler?

-What type/size of plow will fit a B-Series? Will other series tractor plows fit my tractor?

-I need a plow mount that attaches to the Uni-Drive, correct? Where can I obtain a mount?

Any information/knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

-Ian

The B-60 is a good little tractor and sorta rare, it is Wheel horse's entry garden tractor. It only came with the pull start. The rear end if it is a 8 speed is the same its big brother the C series as are most the componets.

Any B, C, 300, 400 and some 500 series plow and rear attachmatic will fit but you might want to keep to the 42".

Let us know where your at and maybe a member here could help you out with a plow and rear attachmatic or they show up on ebay.

And :USA: of your progress of the rebuild

To All: Thank you for the warm welcome and info.

refracman: Thank you for the input. I Live in Salt Point, NY, and would love to use this little mechanical marvel to push some snow around (mostly for fun). If you know of people in the area with a plow and attachment bracket that would fit, that would be great. Otherwise, I'll keep my eyes open on ebay and Craigs List for a "B, C, 300, 400 and some 500" plows like you had mentioned.

Thanks again, and I'll be sure to post pictures of my progress.

-Ian
