Chaz54 79 #1 Posted May 17, 2014 I'm considering selling my 1988 520-H Wheel Horse. I've looked on ebay and craigslist and have only seen a couple of them listed - but nothing close to what I have. It has a little over 850 hours and in fairly good condition with a 48" mower deck, snow blade, and chains. New rubber all around in the past couple of years. Paint and everything is in fairly good working condition. I have no idea on what range to even start out considering. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Kelly 1,033 #4 Posted May 17, 2014 the pre 90 models are not as sought after as the later one because of the lack of reduction steering, swept axle and wide rear wheels, but can still be a nice machine, I have a 88 here with 600 hours on it, nice running machine, with out seeing yours and knowing the sales market in your area, I will guess in the $600 to 900 range, that may be higher in your area but I would not say a lot higher, unless it is very nice. Chaz54 79 #8 Posted May 18, 2014 Here are some photos. The seat is cracking and has a little of rust on the back but overall in pretty good shape for a 25 year old machine.
AMC RULES 37,196 #9 Posted May 18, 2014 Humm...fairly good working condition? Wondering what that means? Does it run good, with no mechanical issues?
Chaz54 79 #10 Posted May 18, 2014 Yes it runs well with no mechanical issues.
AMC RULES 37,196 #11 Posted May 18, 2014 Think I'd start it at $1250 with the attachments you've got going with it. Where ever you list it, definitely show them sitting along side the tractor. A quick bath, and a little detailing will go a long way too. Good luck.
Kelly 1,033 #12 Posted May 18, 2014 Well I stand corrected, that is much nicer looking than most you see, as Craig said a nice cleaning and detailing, I would ask $1200 for it, a coat of wax might do wonders on that machine.
