dewdew 10 #1 Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) I had a leak in my hydro valve. So I took it out to replace the o rings and I found a number on the valve but it doesn't look like a part number. It is as follows... 0934 8 9 does that seam right or is there some place that I can look up part numbers like this? Or any suggestions on a supplier that handles this sort of thing? I forgot, when I was splitting the three main parts of the valve there where three bolts holding them together but I would say that they where not much more than finger tight. Is that normal? Or do you think that may have been my problem all along? Edited May 3, 2014 by dewdew
MalMac 1,332 #2 Posted May 3, 2014 It should have been more than finger tight. While you got it off you might as well put new orings in it.
dewdew 10 #3 Posted May 3, 2014 That's what I was thinking to. Are they hard to find?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,474 #4 Posted May 3, 2014 You may find this handy Any well established hydraulic shop should have seals or if you go to Toro the numbers in the manual change to new numbers and still available the last time I checked. Garry
dewdew 10 #5 Posted May 4, 2014 So I got a set of o rings but my valve still leaks. I can see daylight on the outside edges(furthest point away from the bolts that hold the 3 parts together) but only on 1 side the other looks tight. Is it possible that it is warped? If so is there anything I can do? Machine it flat again? We're talkin maybe a 64th of an inch on each side. I was thinking about making fastest for it but that would prolly make the o rings less affective. What do you think?
shorts 182 #6 Posted May 4, 2014 The valve sections should pull together tight so they support the orings from extruding out between the valve sections, gaskets will probably just blow out. where in Michigan are you? I'm just south of Detroit and willing to help 1 on 1 if your close.
