JJudy75 0 #1 Posted May 2, 2014 Has anyone ever attempted to make a gasket for the tiller case halves? I have cut smaller gaskets, but nothing this large. I tried ultra black sealant, but it leaked. If so, what thickness to use?

Rideking 32 #6 Posted May 2, 2014 I used ultra black on mine, applied liberally - then only loosely tightened the bolts, let dry for 24 hours then fully torque them. No problems as of yet.

CTBT&D 77 #8 Posted May 2, 2014 I used gasket material bought from the local auto parts store, .030" thick. Took about two hours to carefully layout and cut. Craig
