Buzz 502 #1 Posted April 26, 2014 What gas cap are you using on your 854 and other tractors with that style tank? I have been using one from TSC that fits a Ford but not real happy with it, It doesn't fit as tight as it should and gas can seep out if tank is over 3/4 full. Any suggestions? JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #2 Posted April 26, 2014 buzz, good question as I am in the same predicament. The gas cap on my 854 is pretty beat up, loose fit and I remember how the gas used to slop out the top at the neck also. Been looking myself for some time. Will be following this. 64s 83 #3 Posted April 26, 2014 My cap was loose also, so I got some fuel proof rubber gasket material, cut it to size, and slipped it into the cap. Tightened right up.
dclarke 4,082 #4 Posted April 26, 2014 I used this one from NAPA on my 701 until I found a nice original and it does fit tight on my 854 tank.

buckrancher 2,694 #7 Posted October 5, 2014 hard to get a good picture with the glare from the chrome but here it is you need to drill two small holes for a vent one in the center and one just at the edge of the red tank seal gasket if you have a original look at the bottom of it and copy Brian
