the_nite_owl 15 #1 Posted April 25, 2014 I picked up a D-160 a while back. It has the 3 point hitch on it and has three weight plates that the previous owner had stacked on the hitch with a bungee cord around them. Needless to say the plates do not stay in place. My first thought was to make an open frame the plates would sit down into using angle iron and mount it on the 3 pt hitch. Should I be mounting this further back and not using the hitch? I have no experience with weight boxes or 3 pt hitches. I need the weight though as this has an FEL that I will be using the hell out of in the near future. I saw a picture of a weight box that mounts somewhere under the frame but have not seen anything with detail to give me an idea of how the mount should be setup. Thoughts? Thanks.
