fishingstararlake 1 #1 Posted April 22, 2014 (edited) My 520 has a round disc that is above the clutch. It is chattering and has some oil coming out of it. I just noticed it today when I was taking off the snow blower. Is this normal it is making more noise then it id in the past. Thanks for any help Dan Edited April 22, 2014 by fishingstararlake
fishingstararlake 1 #2 Posted April 23, 2014 looks like I figured out that it is a welch plug. could not find out why or what caused it to come lose or if I can just replace it or does the cam rub on it?
groundhog47 347 #3 Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) I don't know how to stake it into place, but that's very important. Cam end play has a tolerance ?on 20hp. I wouldn't think the cam "bumps" on it. Worst case it plug falls out undetected, oil slings out too much, and ruined an engine. Seems there was a post on the plugs sometime back and book doesn't cover removal or replacement. fishingstararlake 1 #4 Posted April 24, 2014 Thanks for the response. I had found that post last night that is how I figured out what it was. I can't believe more people have not this problem. I have not seen a post that the cam was affected. Dan
