zieg72 209 #1 Posted April 15, 2014 I need pics and advice on steering wheel spinners. First off I have the 13" skinny 2 spoke wheel on a late 80's 414. The spinners I have had up until then have been for the fat 1992-1997 steering wheels. I've seen plenty of junk so I am looking for a good one that someone is pleased with. Pictures also would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
AMC RULES 37,196 #2 Posted April 15, 2014 Though I don't see them in his listings... I'm pretty sure Glen offers a really nice quality spinner, with a logo inset into the knob. Maybe shoot him a PM? http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/forum/54-glen-pettit-restoration-parts/
GlenPettit 1,717 #3 Posted April 15, 2014 Thanks Craig: IMO, the ones made by (GoodViberationsGrip) are the best by far; and Sears, Lowe's and Miller Tire all have them for $15 to $18 each, and have them in Red. We did have a chance to purchase two dozen for $10 @ ('seconds', damaged boxes), and we put the Wheel Horse logo on top with a dome cover to resell, but we're out and it would cost me more than what Miller now sells them for, to repurchase. No plans for us to re-offer them. x Glen
pacer 3,177 #4 Posted April 15, 2014 TSC offers the Easy Rider (its a nice one) and and another one that both should mount --- http://www.tractorsupply.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SearchDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&pageSize=&beginIndex=0&searchSource=Q&sType=SimpleSearch&resultCatEntryType=2&showResultsPage=true&pageView=image&searchType=1002&autoSuggestURL=AutoSuggestView%3FcoreName%3DMC_10001_CatalogEntry_en_US%26serverURL%3Dhttp%253a%252f%252ftsc-prod-lb01.crossview.inc%253a3737%252fsolr%252fMC_10001_CatalogEntry_en_US&searchTerm=steering+knob
squonk 43,806 #5 Posted April 15, 2014 I got a couple of spinners last year at the show . They only worked on the fat wheels.
AMC RULES 37,196 #6 Posted April 15, 2014 Fat wheels... is that the politically correct terminology?
