all right guys i did some diggin and snooping and friend making.Well I followed the advice of the resident RedSquare experts TT, Duff and some of the other guys and this is the result!I helped my nieghbor the other day pull his daughters boyfriends totaled S-10 up his driveway with the 702.This truck had its front end smashed so bad that the frame was in one of the tires and the other was flat too!! and that little 7hp bad rings and all draged it up his driveway at just above an idle !! i would'nt belive it if I did'nt do it myself. At that point it was offical I needed to enter some tractor pulls but not till she was at her best.So i found a fellow WheelHorse Addict

his name is don and he owns a small tractor shop in the next town over in Rehobeth he said he could rebuild my k161 for me. So that old red is pumping thru my vein's and and theres no vacine I got another one I think its 1056 but I'm not sure its a three speed and HP? not sure but the exaust is a 1inch and it looks to big to be a 12 dave the gentleman i mention before said its likly a 14.So without further wait here's some pics and it came with a plw but i forgot to get pics of it!

You could probably find a machineshop that can broach some new keyways on the other side of that hub. You'd need to drill and tap for the setscrews too. Probably cheaper than buying new hubs... :banghead:

WOW, those hubs look 10X better than mine on the 1045.... If you find some new ones and want to sell those, let me know....

BTW, good lookin' tractor!

I may have a hoodstand that's in pretty good shape if you're interested.... Where are you located?

If you chose to have them broached be sure to get a price up front. :banghead:

I had a pair done on a GT-14 and cost me $80.00 :omg:, but they are a lot wider though. The found a $bay set for $20.00 and shipping.

Looks like a different hood stand would speed the recovery process. :USA:

Yep its a 1056 its on the tag and suppose to be a 10 hp kohler one thing I noticed

in the pictures is some one welded the tranny to the fram thats bad be sure tyhe fram isnt busted in the corners from the bottom up and across the lower bolts. the good part is the sheet metal looks good it will make a good puller even with the three speed or eight speed.

Good luck what ever way you go.

You might try spraying a very light coat of carb cleaner on the engine ID tag to see if it will wrinkle that red paint. Berrymans B-12 Chemtool is what I use. It almost always wrinkles the cheap spray paint so you can wipe it off but takes a lot longer to attack the original black paint Kohler used on the tags. That should at least make it readable.

Wet the surface lightly and wait for teh red paint to wrinkle. Let that dry. Wipe off the wrinkled paint with a DRY cloth. Repeat if needed. Don't rub the tag with a rag wetted with carb cleaner or you'll probably remove the black paint too.
