MaineDad 85 #1 Posted September 16, 2008 So last night I replaced the following on the C-160; Breather filter Both breather gaskets Carb gasket Air filter gasket Fuel pump gasket What a difference this made. The breather filter was all caked up. The carb settings had to be all changed due to the better fitting gaskets and airflow. I'll hopefully be able to run it for a long period of time when I install the new regulator/rectifier tomorrow. It's nice to have a good baseline of maintenance when you want to depend on the tractor. This is going to be my snow machine and if we have another winter like last year (44 hours logged of snow throwing) then she'll get a good workout. But I have the 314-8 standing bye with the snow blade on if necessary :banghead:
MaineDad 85 #2 Posted September 18, 2008 Put in a new Regulator/Rectifier and we got a charge on the ammeter! Mowed the lawn tonight and she kept charging Now a new problem - the lights no longer work. Maybe a fuse...
kpinnc 11,120 #3 Posted September 18, 2008 Lights? Lights? We don't need no stinking lights! Just joking Micah. Only one of my tractors has functional lights... Glad to hear you're getting to enjoy your tractor now! Kevin
