music100 10 #1 Posted April 10, 2014 Hi guys, got my rear tires mounted and filled. Now the front ones, looking at it straight on it looks a little spraddle legged if you know what I mean. What type of bearings do they have in the front wheels? Whatever is there is worn out but hopefully the spindles aren't bent. Also a new switch and seat from the bay. Still have to go back and do some wiring clean up. Going to be slow but quite a machine. A 414-8 BTW. Thanks, John
Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted April 12, 2014 Ball bearing in the front, you can buy cheap replacements at TSC or other hardware stores, they are 1 3/8" x 3/4" with a flange or lip on one side, they run about $3 each I like the full sealed machined steel bearings, cost a bit more about $10 each they can be had at most mower shops or ebay
