Awakening the 704

Recommended Posts

squonk

Started the 704 after a long winter for sure. Started on the first pull. I stored it last fall with the Super-Whoopie fuel you buy at Lowes. It's supposed to have a 3 yr shelf life. I know the 2 cycle fuel they sell works awesome. Hood rattles a bit when revved up. Hope to get it on the yard this weekend to pull the trailer and sweeper!

I can barely hear the engine over the Bell!  :hilarious: Sorry Mike couldn't resist. Really it sounds great wish my 704 looked like that one!

An upholstery shop down in Penn Yan did it. Run by an old Mennonite fellow

Very nice looking (and running) GT.

Do you ring the bell when you want someone to bring you a cold drink while mowing? :ROTF:

I used to deliver pizza's on it during the local steam show. The bell was used to "clear a path" !  :)

And here I thought you were sellin Good Humors!

That is a really nice 704. What paint did you use on it? The paint looks real nice, not overly shiny but just right and probably what it looked like when new.
