HokieAg07 129 #1 Posted April 8, 2014 Did the annual pre season maintenance on the Horses this weekend. Swapped the 50" belly blade for the 48" mower on my 416, hey it might as well share cutting duties with the 520! Anyways, I soon realized that I would not be able to keep the rigid lift link hooked to the tractor with the mower deck in place as it interferes with the deck. Am I wrong in this realization? I would sure love to keep that lift link attached as I am sure you know how much of a pain it is to get it attached to the tractor! I find the easiest (less painful) way is to pull the ignition switch/gauge panel to gain access rather than trying to fight it from underneath.
ericj 1,579 #2 Posted April 8, 2014 i put the 50" grader under my 91 or 92 416-H the other week, i had to remove the center lift arm and pull the switch/gauge panel to gain access to get the pin in the lift link and i'm sure that's how i plan on removing it also in a week or 2 eric j
Forest Road 594 #3 Posted April 9, 2014 I feel your pain. I stopped removing the ignition switch. I welded a pin to the lift link. No more spinning. The hole is vertical so I can slide a pin from under the tractor. I also bent the keeper pin approx 30% so I could grab it easier w pliers.
