RMCIII 838 #12 Posted April 3, 2014 Nice find! I think from these pics, it made me realize how large these 522's actually are, I've never realized it before! Tom, that weighs, just shy of 1,025lbs., without any attachments.... He also has the deck that weighs close to 300lbs.... Not to mention what else he got that adds additional weight for summer mowing.... All said and done, his 522 will weigh in right at 1,500 lbs, without rider this summer..... That is one heavy tractor... BTW, that does not include any wheel weights. Good thing it has power steering..

Thanks for the info! Thats awesome! Edited April 3, 2014 by stratostar250
RMCIII 838 #14 Posted April 3, 2014 Yeah... Imagine if he decided to add, front and rear weights, to the tractor...... WOW, you are talking close to 1,700 lbs... without rider. Now add a 200 lb. man to the seat... Close to a ton for a garden tractor that you use on the lawn to mow.... HEAVY!!! No need for a roller!!!

Glenn 20140403_111821.jpg Glen, do I detect an XJ in the back ground??? I have a 5.9 limited Canadian MFG....... What a blat that thing is.... JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #17 Posted April 4, 2014 Glen, what else did you get with the deal??? Rob. The mowing deck you see. It's small 44. Also the rear bagger. So far it's one heck of a doozie. Have to start scanning for a snow thrower. Not sure which to choose on that. Tinkering in the garage now. Tomorrow all new fluids. Engine. Rear. dennist 139 #20 Posted April 4, 2014 Excellent tractor, congrats. I noticed you were looking earlier. Glad you found one in that cond.
RMCIII 838 #21 Posted April 4, 2014 only 44", my mistake, I assumed it was the 48"... Still one nice set-up.....With very low hours....If/when the wife decided she needs another "early" mothers day gift, you can't go wrong with the single stage...... It handled everything this winter had to offer, no issues.... I logged almost 60hrs. blowing snow this year...Almost double what I did for mowing.... I would suggest finding a cab for the winter set-up... The difference between no cab vs. a cab is - well, PRICELESS!!!!
Ken B 3,189 #22 Posted April 4, 2014 Well that didn't take long, time to have you committed! Real nice pimpin machine and you know pimpin ain't easy! It makes the Wheel Horse look tiny in comparison. Are you gonna turn the kids loose on that one?
