John, life kinda has a way of taking a lot of my time. :dunno:

Bob, it's always a pleasure hanging out. I got a burst of energy I guess.

Hear ya!

That's kind of what that quote is all about at the bottom of my signature.

Sometimes walking away from a project until you are ready is the best thing. You could've had a finished project but not be happy with it so...

Trying something a little different but familiar with the rear end.

I finished up the idler plate tonight. All I need now is the right belt. Header clears it well.

Those headers would still let that V8 breath if you ever change your build mind!!!!

It's good to see your back at this build Richie, the idler plate is a work of art

Thanks. I am humbled. I don't know about a work of art but I did make it with my own hands. Just hope it works. I'm slowly plugging along. Going hydro made things a little easier for what I am doing with it.

Got the dash layout cut. Made my throttle and choke levers out of D-160 assemblies. I had to flip them around and trim off some of the bracket to get them to move in the right direction. I am going with an oil pressure gauge and voltmeter. I have a 3-1/2" teleflex marine tachometer in a pedestal that I am mounting on the column. I still have to finish the framework for the fenders, fab up a floor shifter, and make the seat mount. Little by little....

Fender pan back to one piece. More hammering, grinding and still need to make the mounts.

Looking good Richie. That would fit in very well with some of the cool customs at the show and there will be lots more tomorrow when the show officially opens. The super D that @gulftanebuilt is a site to behold and you ought to hear it. I'm batting almost 1000 on the stuff to bring back. Haven't got the hood from Lane yet but we talked about it. Just haven't picked it up yet. Nice afternoon, a great Mexican meal with the guys and wives, some rain this evening and it's supposed to be nice tomorrow. :)

It looks like an honest old tractor with attitude. If I had your ability I'd build a carbon copy
