1969 Raider 10 mower deck idler pulley

Recommended Posts

Mike333

I am missing the idler pulley on my 42inch mower deck on my Raider. I have tried to find some numbers on the tractor but no luck, so I was hoping someone on here may know the part #. I also need a head gasket for the 14hp techy that is currently on it and can't find any info that either, she is in pretty rough shape but I think with some TLC it could be a good worker, any info is greatly appreciated, thanks again and Happy Spring to everyone!!!

Perhaps this is what you need for the mower

For the engine go to

http://www.partstree.com/parts/

Type Tecumseh in the 2nd box and OH140 in the 3rd box.

You will get 8 pages of results.

Service manual for cast iron engines

http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/2382-engine-tecumseh-8hp-to-18hp-cast-iron-smpdf/

I will try to get some pictures up after work, and sorry but no model numbers, plates are all missing, and the engine is not original. I do know for a fact the the engine is a techcumseh 14 hp,it came from a 1977 sears suburban.

Mike, A good starting point for finding info on any tractor is   The Wheel Horse by Year Chart. You can find it by clicking on Manuals, then click Tractors, then scroll down to the chart.

You will find  tractor info for years 1955 thru 2005.

You   will find the Raider 10 was only made in 1970,71, and 72.

1970  ...Tecumseh.....4 and 8 speed tranny

1971...  Tecumseh.....8 speed

1972......Kohler..........8 speed

In 1969 there was only a Raider 12 made with a Kohler and 4 speed.

Hope this helps.

Yep, he knows it's not the stock engine.

If I may stick my nose in here

The 1969 Raider 10 model 1-6041 used an HH100 Tecumseh but Toro has incorrectly identified it as a 1970 model.

It would take more smarts than I have to do it. That file has been posted in so many places I don't know how you could do them all.
