HorseFixer 2,013 #1 Posted March 30, 2014 Well Its been a long hard winter for sure, we had a total of 113" of snow here and I am finally glad to see some 55 deg weather which is just fine by me. I figure I would get the Ole Chucker out give her a Wash -n- Wax and clean her up head to toe inside and out, Lord knows she deserves a Lil TLC as she saved my back this year and If you maintain & treat your equipment right, It will Treat you right and believe me I have no complaints. I got plenty of seat time and logged 21.10 Hrs. I didn't keep track of times I used it but it usually takes me between 15 to 20 minutes to do my drive so I figure prolly about 40-50 times I had her out and used approx. 25 gallons of fuel. To me that's a small price to pay! So I have her all cleaned up inside and out and all the Cab Vinyl treated with mothers VLR conditioner and will put the Ole girl away till next year. So How many Hours did you guys log? ~Duke

pfrederi 18,669 #5 Posted March 30, 2014 Well it is now snowing with ice pellets falling, th trees are getting ice coated...but in reality we had a mild winter snow wise. Storms went south or north. Snow blower on the 418a got used 2 times, plow on the Electro 12 probably 5-6 times....Had a belt/ idler pulley failure on the 418a in mid February and hooked up the C-160 to the blower...never used it.... roscoemi 245 #6 Posted March 30, 2014 I lost count of the hours, an hour or two a day every day for weeks. Still have almost 3' in the yard where we didn't plow. Mine will not get a bath for at least another month, although the kids is getting a rebuild right now to be ready to roll when the snow melts.

can whlvr 994 #10 Posted March 30, 2014 I don't have an hour meter but I added it up in my head and it would be well more than 100 hours,i have a lot of area and was doing a reno this year so more got plowed than usual,we still have at least 3 feet also
546cowboy 302 #11 Posted March 30, 2014 Well most snow here in many years (30?) although I sold all my Horses this year, the skid steer had snow piles 7' tall here. Finally all melted now so it's time to pick up all the branches and sticks around the place. Supposed to get cold here again next week so I think I'll just wait a while yet. I'm really tired of this winter.
Foozerush 40 #12 Posted March 30, 2014 Trying to figure out if I plowed more snow than I mowed last summer.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
boovuc 1,090 #13 Posted March 30, 2014 I had 10+ hours on the loader tractor. 5+ on the snowblower tractor and a couple hours on the plow tractor. Keep in mind that this was my first year with the loader and I also used it at camp for two of those 10. Someone who actually knows what their doing with the loader would have cut those hours by a good third! I'm getting more proficient with it now! I see to my immediate east that there is all kinds of rain, snow, ice pellets, sleet, freezing rain, frogs, locust and who knows what else falling from the sky! Nothing falling here anymore today or tonight! Earlier post is correct that here in Central Pa, we had more close calls than direct hits and many others had it a lot worse than we did!

JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #15 Posted March 31, 2014 Duke, didnt check my hour meter, we got about 65 inches of snow this year. I will guess maybe 10 hours or so with the snow thrower. even though the driveway is bout 500 ft. the snow thrower on the tractor makes short work of it. Some things I am thinking about, for sure a snow cab, also I am keeping my eyes peeled for a 18 or 20 hp kohler. I just feel like putting another engine in the 416-8. now is that crazy or what? lol Glenn

JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,498 #17 Posted March 31, 2014 Duke. FYI checked hour meter. Logged 12 hrs. On wheel horse snow duty. Now it's official. Can't wait till next year. Glenn
Mike333 5 #18 Posted March 31, 2014 Just plowed again yesterday,I'm guessing I put in at least 30hrs or more. Living in the snow belt in NE Ohio keeps us busy keeping the drive clear, wish I had some pics,my front yard had a small mountain range for awhile!!
sorekiwi 761 #19 Posted April 1, 2014 Not bad here, I probably only have about 8 hours of snow removal time. Only used the blower once, the rest of the time was with the plow. We did get 141" which is above average, but only a few times got an accumulation over 3 or 4 inches. However the snow removal equipment will remain mounted up for a couple more weeks, I have no faith in mother nature right now...
