AMC RULES 37,117 #1 Posted March 30, 2014 Were any of the Arc loaders made specifically to fit our tractors? Wonder if there is any way to visually ID them...ID tags, serial #'s, mounts?
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted March 30, 2014 (edited) A lot of ARK loaders were made for Wheelhorse for the C series tractors. Drect hook up and go! Go to the downloads and get the file named "WH_Interchange_1955-2000". It will show the ARK loaders for the C and D series tractors of those days that were compatible. My loader has a Wheelhorse ID tag on it but it was manufactured by Ark Manufacturing. The only reason I needed to modify mine was for it to fit on a 500 series tractor. The Onan motor and not the single Kohler engine changed how the pump mounts. The forward-swepted axle also requires a little tweaking but it was a 98% throw it on and go install. Not bad for a loader made to fit a Wheelhorse tractor from the early to mid 70's being mounted on a 1991 tractor. Edited March 30, 2014 by boovuc
AMC RULES 37,117 #3 Posted March 30, 2014 The earliest I see them mentioned there is '74... meaning that is the first year they became available for our tractors?

boovuc 1,090 #8 Posted March 30, 2014 Get it Craig! Tell her that a loader is an indispensable tool to have around the house and it makes the tractor(s) just that much more valuable! (Then take her out to dinner, go to the mall, etc etc).
MalMac 1,331 #9 Posted March 30, 2014 Agreed on the indispensable tool. When I bought my Ark, I never dreamed how much I would use it. It is used for everything under the sun around here. I would have to say it is one of the best investments I have ever made. If you have a chance at one I would not delay.
