I am new here and this is my first post, hello I would like to put some 3 rib tire and wheels on my D-180.It currently has turf tires on it .I`m not sure what  size rim it takes that will fit on the spindle. It seems most of the tires are narrower . Fantastic site .Any help is appreciated

                                                                                                                             Thanks Mark

The wheels are 8 inch diameter and go on 1" spindles. The standard tire size is 18 X 8.5 X 8.

Here is a video of a guy struggling to replace his front tires with tri ribs like you are considering.

They do widen out once they are on the wheel and inflated.

Good job for a tire shop.

They are 8" dia but not necessarily 1" spindles - my D-180 and my D-160 both have 3/4" spindles.

Just an observation from a guy who doesn't know a whole lot about tires.

One of my D-200s has ribbed tires on the front that fit the rims and look right i.e.not too narrow. They're getting pretty cracked now so I'll be looking for some soon, not worried though as they must be out there.

Your front spindles may be 1" or 3/4"  The D front tire size is the same as the rear tires on a Lawn ranger.
