smoreau 658 #2 Posted March 29, 2014 As long as you have a oil filter capability, that's not a problem.
wheeledhorseman 579 #3 Posted March 30, 2014 That's the issue James, I'm not certain that the Kawasaki Fc540v has the capability 'as is' but I'll check mine and let you know. If not then adding an oil cooler adaptor sometimes referred to as a 'sandwich plate' is a possibility if space permits, again I'll check mine. These adaptors sit sandwiched between the filter and the part of the engine that the filter would normally mate to but the threads need to match the engine. Search for oil cooler sandwich on ebay to see what I'm referring to. Hope this helps - will do a visual check later today. Andy

Andy When I took the filter off to replace I to think that it looks like it will fit bit I'll wait until Andy says more before proceeding Thank you for the input James. wheeledhorseman 579 #5 Posted March 30, 2014 Took a little look today James and there's no facility to add one on mine that I can see so it's a matter of using an adaptor. I agree that it looks like there's the space to do it. The engine doesn't really need one but then it doesn't 'need' all the bits you've added so far but I can understand your interest in adding one to your custom 227-5.
