New Member, what do I have?

I'm going nuts here... Bought a wheelhorse, still have to pick it up.  But like a dummy, I didn't take a pic, and forgot to write the numbers down.  Looked up every model of wheelhorse on google images to find it, and can't get a match.

Here's what I do know.  11hp briggs vertical, wheelhorse 1in axle rear end, approx 32-36 in rear discharge, 8in rear rims.  Steel hood.  Don't think it's a stamped frame.  Looks 70's, early 80's to me. Pretty small, but not as small as a Ranger.

Here's the problem.  B111 seems to be close, but mine has no foot boards, and NOT a peerless transmission.  Shifter is on the floor, not under seat between fenders.

I promise to get pics Saturday when I pick it up, and write down the numbers.  Until then, anyone have a clue what this tractor is?

Thanks,

Dennis

I'm getting closer!  Commando V7 is the right frame, hood, tires, deck and transmission!  Is there a model of this tractor that came with a briggs 10 or 11hp?post-12714-0-38414600-1395320078.jpg

Based on your description it sounds like a B-111 as you said.

Floor boards are wrong, and mine has shifter is on floor. Maybe someone swapped a 11hp on a V7? I will know more Saturday. Thanks for the welcome!

Bigger motor=better in my book! It would have been a 7hp Tecumseh (I believe) but a Briggs 11 is a nice upgrade.

I don't have time for another one!  Already have an old house, military vechicle, and race mower addicitions!  Don't worry, the wheelhorse is going to stay mostly stock, anything modified will be easily undone...

Hopefully my truck will be done at the body shop today, so I can pick it up.  Otherwise, I'll drive my crane truck there!

Got it home, it is a CG7, with a 11hp briggs and battery added.  Gas tank appears non-stock, and it's had some painting done.  Deck appears in really nice shape.  Dosen't look like it sat outside any.

From my recollection the CG Series (CG7, CG7R, and CG8), tractors were only 1971 and 1972. They were the same as the Commando V7 and V8 in 1969 and 1970 and the A series from 1973 to 1981... Then in 1982 the A series became rear engine riders.......Not sure of much else on those pint size horses.....

Not quite a 5-ton wrecker, it's actually built on a 2 1/2 ton frame.  M108, they only made them for 3 or 4 years.  Sure is handy.

Got it to run, and drove it around a little.  All the gears work, belt or clutch is a little loose.  Didn't try the deck yet.

Nice old horse, nicer old wrecker. I did not see an old onan generator, no collection is complete without one or two
