brian pa 2 #27 Posted February 12, 2015 Hello everyone Been a while a didn't get much work done on the tractor. I did sand the seat pan down and primer and painted. Mainly used it to haul hay bales from the barn to the animals. I believe the hydro is going out though. Runs strong for about half hour then loses power in forward and reverse almost to a crawl. I'm in the process of draining oil and putting in Mobil 1 synthetic 10w30 to see if that helps. Also the plastic reservoir cap to add hydro oil underneath the seat fell apart so was trying find replacement part? Its the Eaton 700. Overall really enjoy the tractor and how it's built. Thanks Brian

Thanks Brian Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you worked it to death...Not hard to do with an Eaton 700. They just weren't meant to push and pull heavy things. Mainly just mow on small level lots.... I would consider looking for an 1100 and swap it all right out. Much better suited for the work you're doing
ericj 1,579 #29 Posted February 12, 2015 unfortunately that's not uncommon for the eaton 700 trans that in that tractor. your best bet would to be to replace the 700 pump or the complete trans with a eaton 1100. pm me if you are interested i have both and i believe i'm just south of you. eric j
ditchdigger25 3 #30 Posted February 12, 2015 Brian are you sure it is the transmission make sure the drive belt has tension. Look on the right side of the tractor in front of the rear wheel you can pull on the belt see if it is tight or maybe the tension pulley spring is off.
