danjmah 74 #1 Posted March 10, 2014 Found this 1998 520xi on CL. Got it for $800, the most I’ve ever paid for a used tractor (so far). It had 347 hours and came with a 52†recycler deck, and plow. The story is the PO bought from a client who was moving. He used it a couple of years but decided his yard was just too small and his wife also wanted her garage back. It had been sitting in the garage unused for two years. I've had it for about a month but due to the weather and work haven’t had a chance to clean it or the plow or deck. Today drained the gas, changed the oil, new fuel line and filter. Runs really good and is solid. Right now the 5xi is slated to be the future winter worker since I have the plow for it, but will definitely try it out for mowing. I just couldn't resist because the condition seemed excellent and the price!. But there was a catch, and I reluctantly agreed. There's a 2004 near me for sale with a deck that's got 2800 hrs. on it, supposedly dealer maintained every year. He's asking $750. I had thoughts of getting it but that's a lot of hrs.
