Hodge71 665 #2 Posted March 8, 2014 Both. Wheel Horse had vertical Briggs in the A series, the 80's B series and rear engine machines as well. 1980 had a horizontal Briggs 11hp in the 1100 Special. Sparky-(Admin) 23,122 #3 Posted March 8, 2014 Way to go Jeff, giving incomplete info.. ...you forgot the 1981 GT-2500 was powered by an 11hp Briggs as well. @Slammer...the Work Horse was a Wheel Horse line that ran in the early 80's with Briggs motors used to bring the price down to capture another segment of the tractor market.
